"This guy's gonna shine!  ...there's a guitar player of high caliber in this Texas/country/rock band (Much like Chris Masterson of Hank Williams the 3rd and Bare Jr.)."
- Robert Keeley

Dan has been highly regarded as a guitar player, vocalist, and performance force by many peers, fans and music industry representatives. His ability to write, improvise, and play varied styles of music has earned him accolades from studio engineers and producers as well as other musicians.

Dan began studying guitar at age 8 with recording artist and Nashville Songwriter, Mark Selby. From middle school through college graduation Dan worked with Martin Shapiro, professor of Studio Guitar at Fort Hays State University (FHSU). With Marty, Dan studied Classical, Flamenco, Spanish, Ragtime, and studio guitar. During this time, Dan toured Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado fronting regional rock/alternative cover and original bands, as well as performing with the FHSU Jazz Ensemble. It was also around this time that Dan won the first of several guitar competitions-Ibanez Hot Licks Guitar Competition.

After graduating with a degree in Music from FHSU, Dan moved to Wichita, Kansas, to Kansas City, and soon after to Dallas, TX.  Along the way, he picked up a BBA and an MBA from Wichita State; and, he co-founded a rock band that received national airplay as an independent and considerable interest from several major labels.  In Dallas, Dan jumped into the Deep Ellum power pop/rock scene and eventually moved to the country side of the tracks in Fort Worth.  Dan spent the next few years touring the TX/NM/CO/OK circuit full-time with some of the area's best A-Room country house bands before landing hired-gun work touring nationally with Nashville's up and comers and Texas' legends.  During that same time he also studied with the great jazz/country phenom Clint Strong (Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel) and Chicago-based rocker Dave Uhrich.

Dan's currently based back in the Kansas City area. He's presently working with area talent and touring North America with artists out of Austin and Nashville.
